Mechanical Engineering
I have been lucky enough to work with several companies on a variety of engineering projects developing complex mechanical systems for a variety of applications, these include everything from industrial test rigs, high pressure gas handling systems, and motorised furniture just to name a few. My projects usually involve electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics but I tend to specialise in automated electro-mechanical systems. I have extensive experience with both prototyping and design for manufacture, in particular tailoring designs to best suit specific materials and production processes.
Common tasks for me include CAD modelling, maintaining bills of materials, composing assembly and part drawings, component selection, simulating system behaviour with FEA, and prototype development/testing/evaluation..
CAD
My preference is for Creo and Solidworks data however I have expertise in several CAD packages so I can work with a variety of data formats and can produce models that will be best suited for your needs.
From complex assembles to the most intricate of parts, I work with my clients to create accurate models that are suitable for their stage in the design process weather that's just a concept or a fully productionised part.

Simulation and Analysis
From FEA to mould flow analysis I've seen it all. I have the capability to refine most designs to a sufficient level of confidence but when the stakes get high I work with my partners that are industry experts in their specific fields.

My specific expertise are in mechanism analysis. Designing and optimising linkages, gears, and other dynamic systems. I can even create animations to show how your system will move and behave under specific conditions!

Drafting
Engineering drawings are the bread and butter of communication for engineers. It's the key to quality control and it makes up a huge part of my current workload.
I produce all my drawings to the highest standards and I can adapt my practices to your specific industry or country as needed.
What's more, there is no need to worry about document control. I am very familiar with various PDM software and practices so I will work with you to integrate my documents into your control process as required.
